Calif. Court Won't Postpone Tougher Emissions Rules

Law360, New York (June 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal court rejected a bid on the part of several California auto dealers and the Daimler Chrysler Corp. to delay the implementation of a California law that would force manufacturers to cut vehicle greenhouse gas emissions by around 30% by 2009.

District Judge Anthony W. Ishii of the Eastern District of California issued the latest rejection to a series of efforts by auto dealers and Daimler Chrysler to push back the time line on the law, which is supported by the California Air Resource Board....
