Dozens Of Sealed Massey Coal Court Docs Released

Law360, New York (January 8, 2015, 1:38 PM EST) -- A West Virginia federal judge has agreed to a request by media groups to make public a number of formerly locked court documents in the criminal case of Don Blankenship, Massey Coal Co.'s former CEO, who will face trial on allegations of contributing to the deaths of 29 miners.

U.S. District Judge Irene Berger opened up 35 of the current 64 documents in the docket Wednesday evening, but said others "that contain information or argument as to the facts and substance of the case, however, must continue to be restricted to case participants and court personnel."
