RIAA Pioneer Joins Decker, Jones

Law360 (April 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A recently retired pioneer of anti-piracy legislation for the Recording Industry Association of America has joined the growing intellectual property practice group of Decker Jones McMackin McClane Hall & Bates PC.

The attorney, Don Valdez, has joined the Fort Worth, Texas-based firm after 25 years with the RIAA. Jeff Storie, a fellow partner at the firm since 1900 and a close friend of Valdez, approached Valdez to come out of retirement and join.
