Sony Hit With Class Action Over Defective Laptops

Law360, New York (July 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sony Electronics Inc. moved Wednesday to have a potential class action over its Vaio PCG laptops transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California from California state court.

The complaint, originally filed May 23 in the Superior Court of California in the County of San Diego by Maria Contreras, accuses Sony of failing to inform consumers of a problem with the laptop's power source that caused the computers to fail.
