EU Antitrust Inquiry Into IBM Will Go On

Law360 (July 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- IBM Corp.’s announcement last week that it will take over mainframe computer firm Platform Solutions Inc. reportedly has not stopped Europe's antitrust watchdog from looking into concerns raised by PSI before the buyout.

IBM said Wednesday its purchase of Sunnyvale, Calif.-based PSI put to rest a patent infringement and unfair-competition dispute between the companies in the U.S. and a pending competition complaint launched by PSI against IBM in Europe.
