ARS Investors Balk At UBS Bid For Filing Extension

Law360, New York (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Investors suing UBS for damages linked to the collapse of the auction rate securities market have asked a federal judge to deny the investment bank an extension to file a motion to dismiss the class action.

Attorneys representing the investors asked Judge Lawrence H. McKenna of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to reject UBS' request for a new deadline to file a motion to dismiss the class action suit. The original deadline was Friday.
