Forklift Operator Avoids Jail In Insider Trading Scam

Law360, New York (July 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A printing plant worker involved in an insider trading ring that saw the jailing of three Wall Street analysts has been spared a prison term after agreeing to cooperate with federal investigators.

Manhattan District Judge Richard Holwell sentenced Juan Renteria, 22, on Thursday to two years of probation, saying information he provided helped investigators nab the masterminds of the $6.7 million scheme.
