Rival Hits Bally With IP Suit Over CEO Hiring

Law360, New York (July 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A prime competitor has hit Bally Total Fitness Holding Corp. with a lawsuit, accusing the fitness giant of illegally poaching one of its top executives to gain access to an array of trade secrets.

On Monday, 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc. filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging that Bally's new CEO Michael Sheehan would be forced to share secrets gleaned from his longtime stint at the California company.
