'Troll Tracker' Libel Case Now On Third Judge

Law360, New York (July 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two judges in as many days have recused themselves from presiding over a defamation lawsuit against a Cisco Systems Inc. employee revealed earlier this year as the anonymous author of the “Patent Troll Tracker” blog.

Judge Michael Schneider of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, who was assigned the case in March, recused himself Wednesday. The case was reassigned to Judge Leonard Davis, who recused himself on Thursday. Neither judge explained his decision in the one-sentence recusal orders.
