Hotel Owner Gets 21 Months For Harboring Illegal Workers

Law360, New York (February 17, 2015, 5:49 PM EST) -- A Kansas federal judge on Tuesday sentenced the co-owner of two hotels in Kansas and Missouri to just under two years in prison for employing undocumented workers and paying them less than other employees.

U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia sentenced Rhonda R. Bridge to 21 months in federal prison after she pled guilty in July to one count of conspiracy to harbor undocumented aliens for personal gain in her hotels in Kansas City, Missouri, and Overland Park, Kansas.
