Shire Pharma Vs. Barr Trial Moved To Jan. 2006

Law360, New York (December 17, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The lawsuits filed by Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc against Barr Laboratories Inc. over patent infringement have been consolidated and that the trial date has been moved from July 2005 to January 2006, Shire Pharmaceuticals Group plc said Wednesday.

The lawsuits result from the Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) filed by Barr for a generic version of Adderall XR, pursuant to which Barr provided notice that it would seek to market its generic product before expiration of the 6,322,819 ('819) and 6,605,300 ('300) patents in 2018....
