FERC Stalls In Decision On Edison Mission Case

Law360, New York (July 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has delayed its decision on whether to allow a rehearing of allegations that a unit of electricity powerhouse Edison International is still engaged in illegal bidding practices.

On Wednesday, FERC said it needed longer than 30 days to determine whether it should hear arguments reconsidering aspects of its case against Edison Mission Energy.

FERC had closed the case in May when the company agreed to pay $7 million in civil penalties and an additional $2 million for a new compliance...
