Judge Won't DQ Sidley Austin From Tuna Antitrust Row

Law360, San Diego (March 6, 2015, 9:00 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Friday rejected a bid to disqualify Sidley Austin LLP from representing Amerra Capital Management LLC in a contract and antitrust row over a botched seafood joint venture, but said the opinion could not be published immediately. 

U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon denied a motion from Mexican aquaculture company Maricultura del Norte, S. de R.L. de C.V., also known as Marnor, to remove Sidley from the case, arguing it sought advice from a partner in the firm’s Houston office before the contract suit was filed.
