Lord Black Seeks En Banc Review Of Convictions

Law360, New York (July 18, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Imprisoned media magnate Lord Conrad Black is seeking an en banc hearing in the hopes of getting his fraud and obstruction of justice convictions overturned.

Black was sentenced to six and a half years a year ago. He joined three former executives of Hollinger International Inc. in filing a petition for rehearing Wednesday.

The four allegedly caused the company to lose $84 million and defrauded investors of approximately $60 million when the Chicago-based company was dismantled.
