American Home Mortgage Wins Extension

Law360, New York (July 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has extended the time bankrupt American Home Mortgage Corp. has to file its exclusive reorganization plan, but he didn't give the lending company all of the time it wanted.

In an order signed Thursday, Judge Christopher S. Sontchi of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware gave the company until Aug. 19 to file its plan and until Oct. 17 to solicit acceptance for it.
