Judge Approves Latest American Airlines 9/11 Deal

Law360, New York (July 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has approved a settlement between American Airlines Inc. and the family of one of the victims of the hijacked plane that crashed into the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001.

On Friday, Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York approved the settlement reached July 1 by American Airlines, parent company AMR Corp., Argenbright Security Inc. and Elaine Teague, whose daughter Sandra died when American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon.
