Ex-Manager Says NYSE Fired Him For 'Daily Show' Interview

By Aaron Vehling (March 13, 2015, 6:08 PM EDT) -- A former managing director for the New York Stock Exchange says he was illegally fired for airing his views about the Affordable Care Act on "The Daily Show," according to his lawsuit filed Friday in California state court.

Todd Wilemon, a manager director for the NYSE Euronext from 2009 to 2014, says that the NYSE and parent company Intercontinental Exchange Inc. wrongfully terminated him for appearing in an interview with "Daily Show" correspondent Aasif Mandvi last year. Wilemon accused Intercontinental of violating the California Labor Code by laying him off for exercising his right to participate in the political process....
