Zimmer Names 3 Bellwether Cases In Knee Implant MDL

Law360, New York (March 16, 2015, 8:40 PM EDT) -- Zimmer Inc. on Monday submitted its choice of three cases for bellwether trial in the multidistrict litigation over its allegedly defective knee implants to the judge overseeing the litigation in Illinois federal court.

Zimmer submitted its notice naming its selection of three cases for bellwether trial to U.S. District Judge Rebecca Pallmeyer. Without further comment, the company selected a case brought by an woman in Arkansas, one by the bankruptcy estate of an Illinois couple and another from a man in Minnesota.
