BP Settles With 4 More Plaintiffs In Texas City Case

Law360 (July 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- After nine weeks of litigation, BP Plc has reached out-of-court settlements with the four remaining plaintiffs in a product liability trial stemming from a 2005 explosion at the company’s Texas City, Texas, plant.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs said Tuesday that settlements were reached late Monday night, putting to rest the claims of Luis Garcia, Esteban Huerta, Charles Pinder and Olivia Palton before the jury in the case entered into deliberations. The terms of the settlements are confidential.
