JPMorgan Settles Calif. Underwriters' OT Suit For $950K

Law360, New York (April 2, 2015, 12:56 PM EDT) -- JPMorgan Chase Bank NA has agreed to pay $950,000 to a class of California underwriters accusing the bank of failing to pay overtime and provide proper breaks, according to a proposed settlement the plaintiffs filed on Wednesday in a California federal court.

The proposed agreement puts to rest a three-year-old proposed class action filed by two loan modification underwriters who worked at a Chase location north of San Diego and accused the bank of violating federal and state labor laws with overwhelming workload requirements.
