Law360, New York (April 3, 2015, 9:15 AM EDT) -- The Telephone Consumer Protection Act regulates the use of automated dialing equipment and/or prerecorded calls by telemarketers and other businesses to contact consumers. Among other things, the TCPA requires you to have a consumer’s prior express consent for auto-dialed calls or text messages to wireless devices. Under newly revised Federal Communications Commission rules, telemarketers must acquire prior written consent for telemarketing messages.
