Appeals Court Dismisses U.S. Airways Pilots’ Suit

Law360 (May 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Tackling a hot-button pension issue, a federal appeals court has dismissed the lawsuit brought by the pilots of US Airways against the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., in a long-simmering brawl over outstanding legacy obligations.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit remanded the case to a lower court, instructing the body to dismiss the pilots’ suit against the government-backed insurance agent, the PBGC.
