Emory U. Wins Patent Fight Against Nova Biogenetics

Law360, New York (August 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has awarded Emory University summary judgment in a patent infringement suit against a now-defunct biogenetics firm and a former executive who is serving time for securities fraud and perjury.

Judge Thomas W. Thrash of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia signed the order granting two motions of summary judgment to Emory and Microbe Guard Inc., the University's licensing partner, on July 24.
