Law Firm Ordered To Pay Delta's Fees In DVT Suit

Law360, New York (August 13, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Delta Airlines Inc. scored a victory Monday in the multidistrict deep vein thrombosis litigation when a federal judge awarded Delta attorneys' fees against a law firm that sued the airline on behalf of clients who were never informed about the suit.

Judge Vaughn Walker of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ordered the law firm of O'Reilly & Danko to pay $15,388.10 to Delta Airlines, saying that was a reasonable amount incurred “as a direct result of O'Reilly & Danko's unreasonable multiplication...
