Background Checks Are Racially Discriminatory: Claim

Law360 (August 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A black woman who was denied a job as a food service worker at New York's Madison Square Garden after a background check found she had pled guilty to assault has filed a complaint alleging that the use of background checks in hiring decisions constitutes racial discrimination.
