Developers Wary Of Calif. Green Building Code

Law360, New York (August 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Although the nation’s first green building code will not become mandatory for another couple of years, developers are already considering the legal roadblocks they could face before getting to work on new construction projects that aim to be more energy efficient.

Environmental lawyers say that California's impending standards for green buildings present unique risks and could create more litigation if developers do not take appropriate steps to vet a project ahead of time.
