Judge Confirms Bombay Co. Liquidation Plan

Law360, New York (August 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing The Bombay Co.'s Chapter 11 case has signed off on the company's liquidation plan despite objections from two California counties.

On Thursday, Judge Michael Lynn, of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, endorsed the debtor's plan of liquidation, batting down the sharp criticism that the plan endured in recent weeks. The judge called the plan “feasible, fair and equitable.”
