Carnival Set To Cruise To Cuba Following OK From US

Law360, Miami (July 7, 2015, 12:15 PM EDT) -- Carnival Corp. said Tuesday it will begin cruises to Cuba from Miami in May 2016 as part of a new social impact travel brand now that the U.S. government has given the company approval to take travelers to the once-off-limits island.

The cruise line company said it plans to operate social impact travel itineraries — which provide cultural, artistic, faith-based and humanitarian exchanges — after receiving approval from both the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
