Judge Tosses Comcast Shareholder Suit, Again

Law360, New York (August 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has thrown out an amended putative securities class action brought by shareholders against Comcast Corp. and two top executives, saying the plaintiffs had failed again to make a convincing case for fraud.

In an order Monday, Judge C. J. Bartle of the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said the plaintiff's amended complaint had not met the heightened pleading standards established by the 1995 Private Securities Litigation Reform Act.
