Antitrust Cases Against Oil-Filter-Makers Sent To MDL

Law360, New York (August 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in a slew of antitrust class actions against the makers of automotive filters will continue the fight in Illinois federal court, where several cases were transferred Tuesday for inclusion in new multidistrict litigation.

A total of 25 cases is being brought together in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois under the case title In Re: Aftermarket Filters Antitrust Litigation after the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation chose the forum earlier this month.
