Oracle CEO Deleted Relevant E-Mails: Judge

Law360, New York (September 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Oracle Corp. co-founder and CEO Larry Ellison deliberately destroyed or withheld e-mails and over 135 hours of tapes that could prove helpful to a group of investors suing the software company, a federal judge ruled Tuesday.

Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said in her ruling that Ellison and Oracle willfully withheld the e-mails and the tapes for a book called “Softwar: An Intimate Portrait of Larry Ellison and Oracle,” written by Matthew Symonds.
