EBay Counterfeit Coin Policy Earns Antitrust Action

Law360, New York (September 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- EBay Inc. has been hit with an antitrust class action claiming it enacted a counterfeit coin policy that unfairly ousted small grading services from participating in the online marketplace for certified coins.

In a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Universal Grading Service LLC and two individual coin dealers accuse eBay and its co-defendants of falsely categorizing their products as counterfeit.
