Sears, Whirlpool Ink Deal To End Some Washer Defect Suits

Law360, New York (July 27, 2015, 5:46 PM EDT) -- A class of consumers suing Sears Roebuck and Co. over a control panel defect in Kenmore and Whirlpool brand washing machines urged an Illinois federal judge Friday to grant preliminary approval of a monetary settlement potentially reimbursing them up to $300 each to replace their washers.
