Best Buy Delayed Pay: Purported Class Action

Law360, New York (September 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Electronics giant Best Buy Co. Inc. has been hit with a sweeping purported class action accusing the company of violating California labor laws by delaying the payment of wages due on termination and of systematically providing employees with inadequate wage statements.

The suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accuses Best Buy of violating the California Labor Code and the California Business and Professions Code.
