Judge Approves $41.4M Payday In Delta Case

Law360, New York (June 6, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal bankruptcy judge nixed a U.S. Trustee’s request to appoint a financial advisor to analyze the ballooning costs of Delta Air Lines Inc.’s Chapter 11 proceedings and signed an order approving payments totaling $41.4 million for advisors and attorneys in the case.

The $41.4 million figure covers the time period between Sept. 14, 2005 and Jan. 31, 2006. In total, more than $43 million was billed to Delta during this period, according to court filings; but about $2 million is being withheld pending another court...
