Gibson Dunn Nabs Top SEC Enforcement Attorney

Law360, New York (September 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s chief New York enforcement attorney is leaving the agency next month in order to return to private practice at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, the SEC announced Thursday.

Mark K. Schonfeld, the director of the New York regional office, will be co-head of the firm's securities enforcement defense practice and a member of the white-collar defense, investigations and crisis management practices.
