Law360, New York (August 13, 2015, 2:39 PM EDT) -- Eli Lilly & Co. on Thursday defeated claims that it concealed the withdrawal risks of its antidepressant Cymbalta when a California federal judge cut short a trial and issued a directed verdict for the drugmaker, less than a week after jurors in another California suit cleared the company.

U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson issued a directed verdict Thursday ending the trial, following the close of plaintiff Erin Hexum's case-in-chief late Wednesday, according to a court transcript.
