Ropes & Gray Settles Patent-Filing Malpractice Suit

Law360, Jersey City (August 19, 2015, 2:53 PM EDT) -- The Medicines Co. and Ropes & Gray LLP have settled the drugmaker's legal malpractice suit in New Jersey claiming Fish & Neave LLP, which merged with Ropes & Gray in 2005, missed the deadline for a key patent filing tied to the blood thinning drug Angiomax.

The two sides said in an Aug. 13 filing in Morris County Superior Court that they had agreed to dismiss the case in its entirety and without costs to either party. A spokesman for Ropes & Gray declined comment on Wednesday, while representatives for MCDO did not return requests for comment on the apparent deal....
