Pontiac GTO Owners File Class Action Over Tire Wear

Law360, New York (September 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A defective suspension and alignment system in Pontiac GTOs causes premature and uneven wear of the tires, a new lawsuit alleges.

The proposed class action against General Motors Corp. was filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California on behalf of GTO owner David Sidner of Grove City, Ohio.

The suit claims that GTOs use larger tires than the suspension system was designed to accommodate, causing the tires to wear out quickly.
