Trustee Wants Mogul Off Death Row

Law360, New York (June 14, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. trustee is asking a judge to keep notorious rap figure Marion "Suge" Knight from controlling bankrupt Death Row Records after the mogul admitted to not looking at the label's checkbook for 10 years.

In court documents, the trustee describes Death Row as a disorganized company in shambles because of the “dishonest conduct and gross mismanagement” of Knight.

Steven Jay Katzman, the trustee, alleges Knight borrowed $880,000 from the company prior to its demise and failed to pay taxes over the years. More than $20...
