USTR Seeks Data On 'Notorious' IP Infringement Markets

Law360, New York (September 9, 2015, 5:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. trade representative's office on Wednesday began the process of compiling its list of the most “notorious markets” for copyright and trademark violations, asking businesses to submit comments for an annual report that is traditionally of great interest to the media, apparel and pharmaceutical industries.

In a Federal Register notice slated for formal publication Thursday, the USTR urged companies to identify both digital and physical foreign marketplaces that are selling illicit or pirated versions of their protected goods.
