TRW Unable To Upend $3M Air Bag Nondeployment Verdict

Law360, New York (September 17, 2015, 9:02 PM EDT) -- A Nevada federal judge refused on Thursday to throw out a jury verdict awarding more than $3 million to a woman left partially paralyzed after her TRW Automotive US LLC air bag failed to deploy in a car accident, concluding that the evidence supported the jury's findings.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey denied TRW's motion seeking either judgment as a matter of law or a new trial, and said that plaintiff Nicole Thompson provided adequate proof that her injuries would have been lessened if the air bag deployed.
