EU Legal Adviser Supports France Telecom’s Appeal

Law360, New York (September 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A legal adviser to the European Union’s highest court has thrown his support behind France Telecom SA’s appeal of a lower court’s decision affirming a €10.35 million fine against the company for allegedly shutting competitors out of the high-speed Internet sector.

Advocate General Jan Mazak urged the European Court of Justice on Thursday to return the case to the lower Court of First Instance so that it could reconsider its ruling.
