Law360, New York (September 21, 2015, 7:35 PM EDT) -- Zond LLC, the most frequent target of America Invents Act reviews, was dealt another setback at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board on Friday as the board invalidated another one of its patents on plasma generator technology.
The board issued two final written decisions, which consolidated inter partes review requests from Fujitsu Semiconductor Ltd. and the Gillette Co. It found Gillette had shown by “a preponderance of the evidence” that each of the patent’s 37 claims were made obvious by a collection of earlier patents and published writings.
