Lorillard Beats $10M Suit Over Cigarettes

Law360 (September 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lorillard Tobacco Co. has won a jury verdict against a Texas man who alleged that he contracted lung disease from smoking the company's Kent filtered cigarettes in the 1950s.

The jury — in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, 11th Judicial District — ruled Tuesday that Donald A.
