Crash Landing For BSkyB On Appeal

Law360, New York (September 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A plea by British Sky Broadcasting PLC to overturn a decision that would force the media giant to cut its nearly 18 percent stake in a television station has fallen on deaf ears, with the tribunal rejecting the company's appeal.

On Monday, the Competition Appeal Tribunal rejected BskyB's appeal, ordering the company to cut its stake in television broadcaster ITV PLC to under 7.5 percent as previously determined.
