Honda, Plaintiffs Reach Deal In Oil Filter MDL

Law360, New York (September 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- America Honda Motor Co. Inc. has reached a proposed nationwide settlement with the owners of some of its vehicles, who allege the company concealed a design defect that made certain models prone to fast-spreading engine fires.

In a filing Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, defense and plaintiffs attorneys told the judge that they had reached a deal after “extensive mediation efforts.”
