DOJ Nabs First Foreign National In Air Cargo Probe

Law360 (September 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A former executive of British Airways World Cargo has reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to plead guilty to charges that he participated in a conspiracy to fix rates for international air cargo shipments.

According to a plea agreement filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Keith Packer, a British citizen and former commercial general manager for British Airways World Cargo, will serve eight months in jail, pay a $20,000 criminal fine and cooperate with the DOJ's ongoing investigation,...
