Ex-Facebook Employee Drops Suit Alleging Gender, Race Bias

By Kurt Orzeck (October 8, 2015, 10:52 PM EDT) -- A former Facebook Inc. employee has dropped her California state suit claiming she faced gender and racial discrimination, as well as harassment, at the social networking giant.

Chia Hong, who claimed she was belittled at group meetings in which she was one of the only employees of Chinese descent, asked the court on Oct. 2 to dismiss her suit with prejudice. The filing didn't say why Hong was seeking dismissal.
