Ex-'View' Producer Says O'Donnell's 'Spite' Caused Firing

Law360, New York (October 16, 2015, 10:52 PM EDT) -- A former senior producer on ABC's "The View" launched a suit in New York state court Thursday claiming that Rosie O'Donnell falsely accused her of feeding sensitive information about the show to the media and shifting coverage of certain stories to co-host Whoopi Goldberg, accusations which ultimately led to her firing.

Plaintiff Jennifer Shepard-Brookman alleged that O'Donnell was "solely motivated by personal spite" when she falsely accused the veteran producer of being the source of media leaks, adding that O'Donnell showed "reckless disregard" for the fact that her accusations about Brookman were not true.
